My Philosophy

I was trained in western, conventional medicine and it has its place in medicine as a whole. However, there are times when we need to look further into ourselves to find the answer to our healing. I believe in taking the time to help you better understand what is happening in your body and examine how your mental programming, your emotions, and your spirituality influence your healing.  Because of my training in both conventional and alternative healthcare, I can serve as a bridge between these two worlds. I believe that these two healthcare modalities should no longer be separate entities. My goal is to coordinate women’s care so that the two can work together.

I don’t believe in handing out a “magic pill” to treat a symptom.  If you are looking for a quick fix for your problems, then this is not for you.  I believe in getting to the root of the problem itself.  This requires time and it requires effort on your part.  It requires you to be active rather than passive.  My belief is that healing requires a “team effort”, which is represented by the group process. Although part of a group, each person’s journey will be unique and I considerate it an honor to walk by your side as you begin this exploration.  I will provide the group with the tools, education, guidance, and support that you all will need to open your awareness and create a new vision for your health.  My goal is to help each person within the group create a more whole, happy, and satisfying life.

So, this sounds all well and good but what does it actually mean?  What would incorporating mind/body/spirit into your healthcare look like? The next section includes a list of therapies and topics that have been addressed in the past. Of course, each group will be individualized. Your care might include one or all of these... or something different altogether!
